Join us for the inaugural Paddle MO Ozarks trip, October 12-14, 2019. We will explore 22.2 miles of the Current River, our nation’s first National Scenic Riverway. The float will begin at Cedar Grove and end at Current River State Park. Our headquarters and camping throughout the trip will be at Current River State Park.
Here’s the Nitty Gritty for Paddle MO Ozarks
Thanks to support from the L-A-D Foundation, Stream Teams United has been planning an expansion of Paddle MO to include an educational river adventure in the Missouri Ozarks in 2019. We have chosen the Current River, a favorite float stream of Leo Drey, legendary conservationist and donor of Pioneer Forest in the Current and Jacks Fork river watersheds.
Where: Current River. Over 2.5 days, we will float from Cedar Grove to Current River State Park. Check-In, parking, camping, and lodging headquarters will be at Current River State Park. We will be staying each night at Current River State Park, so you will not need to move your gear or tent during the trip!
When: The float will begin on Saturday, October 12th, with safety talk beginning at 9 am. You can either arrive Saturday morning or arrive on Friday evening, October 11th. The float will conclude after lunch on Monday, October 14th.
What does the registration price include? Registration for Paddle MO Ozarks is $250 per participant. This cost includes 8 meals, from Saturday morning through Monday lunch, daily transportation from headquarters, paddler’s journal with maps and information, river guides and educators, camping and facilities, and entertainment and activities during the weekend. Paddle MO Ozarks T-shirts are also available to pre-order for $15 each. This registration price assumes you are bringing your own canoe or kayak. Don’t have a boat and need one, let us know and we will help you find one.
